Demonstrating knowledge of pedagogy knowledge and Designing Coherent instruction Now I am taking my first lesson plan I created for my student teaching assignment. This lesson emphasizes more on students learning abilities and what they are able to accomplish in a short amount of time. I break the class down in a way where you can see where the development of my lesson begins. I establish background knowledge with the basis of this lesson they have read the story out of the trophies text book. The content objectives are more approachable to the task that is being asked of the students. The standards are well thought out and based on the story and components they will come across in reading the text. This lesson is a basis for learning new strategies for visualizing helping students really picture the text in their minds. My layout for my lesson is based off explicit instruction and modeling to the students my expectations for the specific assignment. My materials are minimal and cover what I am teaching. Accommodations’ are based of not only my own knowledge but my cooperating teachers methods as well.
