• Artifact 2 - Domain 3 - Component3e - Demonstrating Flexibility and Responsiveness

  • Description: (Lesson adjustments and response to students)

Being Flexible with instruction for various types of learning levels and styles of learning

  • Multiple Intelligences

It is good for teachers to know that all students learn differently and the multiple intelligences give you a guide of what some students are as learners. This assignment that I created was to describe at least 5 different ways to have students with different learning styles construct a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. To be able to provide different stations for different learning styles would be great.

  • Qualitative Spelling Inventory/Assessments

Knowing where your students are at is a general thing all teachers need to know. So for my next artifact it shows you a QSI basically a QSI is an assessment that assess where the students are at not only in spelling but what they also struggle with in reading. These are essential to be able to make lesson adjustments and to convey the need for your students to progress in their learning.

  • Social Studies Adjustment

Due to the large number of students who have a hard time reading the social studies textbook I created two assignments. One assignment was to label all of the thirteen colonies and tell me the names of each. The second assignment was for my own level learners and I wanted them to create a comparison chart of the three regions of the colonies and also label the map. It went smoothly providing the students with work to where they were not wandering around or feeling left out of what everyone else was doing.
